Bluebonnets

(To check out past years of bluebonnet photos, click here)

This year the bluebonnets were not nearly as plentiful as last year (at least not in our area), but we were able to find at least a small patch for photos. It is so amazing to me how much the kids change in only a year!

Bluebonnets

We had a wonderful spring full of bluebonnets this year thanks to all the rain God blessed us with in the previous months. Although the bluebonnets are now all gone, I can’t resist sharing some photos of the kiddos in the bluebonnets. I would have shared these sooner, but I’ve been busy with lots of things, including getting back in the swing of things after a mission trip to Jamaica (like not continuing to run like I should, bah!), finishing up the school year, having a garage sale,  and getting things in order for my new photography business.

And, one last one for good measure to prove that my kids are already conspiring against me! ;)

Thankful Thursday

I’m thankful for cold fronts. Yes, I like the cold. But then again, I really don’t think I know what “cold” is considering that I live in Texas. So maybe I should be thankful for cold fronts in Texas.

And, while I’m thinking about it, I’m thankful that I live in Texas.

I’m thankful for silly little girls.

I’m thankful for batteries for the ball popper. I think I am anyways, ha. The kids love that thing, but it is noisy!

Bluebonnets

This month has been a bad month for blogging! But I will be back on track . . . hopefully tonight I'll have some time to actually write a post. But, for now, here are some shots I got of Ella in the bluebonnets yesterday. Bluebonnets are one of the many reasons I love Texas!

I Love Texas, but ...

...we don't have beautiful fall colors where we live in Texas. In fact, our grass is still green and growing, and when I took my daughter outside to take some pictures she didn't even need to wear long sleeves! The only reason I have dead patches in my yard is because we had a terrible drought over the summer. I know I'm going to be jealous of all the fall colors as I look through the other entries in the I Heart Faces Autumn Beauty Challenge this week.

Happy Fall!
